nope.. i asked that question of the trainers.. about how to approach superiors who are clearly in need of counselling...
they didn't have a clue what to do..
as always, they figure it's a top-down thing.. we're to provide counselling to our subordinates..
the bosses who are psychotic, will remain psychotic.. ![]()

didn't the concoctions/remedies we were yapping about alleviate the syndromes?
and looking at the papers this morning, bad news all round. IR project in trouble, job cuts ahead for many companies.
and the sad statistic for heart attack survival in singapore. 2.7%!
partly due to anti-social singaporeans who refuse to give way to ambulances on the road, refuse to vacate lifts to allow ambulance crew to get the victim out as soon as possibe etc
And people who refuse to perform CPR on the victim.

well, unless they are certified to do so, its against the law ain't it?

I don't think so. Why would they give out booklets on first aid if that was the case?
I have something to ask the medics here - is it possible for 2 people to perform CPR at once, with one supplying the heart massage and the other providing air continuously?

hmmm...my understanding is that unless your are certified for first aid/CPR, doing it on anyone may result in the family sueing you, even if the victim does survive. right now I wouldn't perform CPR on anyone because I haven't gone to renew my first aid/CPR (I was certified by a US agency)
Alright, I'll look back here later for answers. I've got History of Asian Art in 5 minutes! See you.

As far as I can tell..... you shouldn't apply CPR if you're not properly trained in it.
Improperly performed, CPR can lead to further complications. For one thing, performing CPR while the heart is actually pumping on its own can mess up its rhythm further. Once the heart restarts, you have to stop chest compressions immediately. An untrained person may not know that.
Improper compressions can also lead to broken ribs and puncturing of the liver by the xyphoid process.
It is possible for two (trained) people to perform CPR simultaneously, and is in fact recommended since CPR can be a really, really siong thing to do alone.
i hate the fact that doing CPR, u have to crack the guy's rib cage ![]()
i'm off to watch Tropic Thunder~
