  you work shifts? or are these meetings that starts after work just so everyone can be around / oversea teleconference meetings?

  NO.

   

  throwing out a patent does not mean you can make illegal copies of the software in question.

  it just means that the developer of the software in question can no longer block its competitors from developing software with features under the patent
