  actually singapore is pretty confused. we use metres for human height and such, but we have things like tables and what in inches and feet.

  he's a failure in every way..

  if people think he's SDP's plant, he's made people more pissed off with SDP..

  if people think he's the MIW's plant, he's made people even more pissed off with the MIW and SDP in equal measures..

  if people think he's some generic opposition plant, they'd want nothing to do with his rants and lunacy..

  so whoever he is basically hamstringing whoever he is trying to help

  i don't see how quarter past 1 is any different from 1:15 or any less accurate..

  and it's a more elegant way of saying it

  cos quarter pass 1 doesn't go into 1:13 it's at most in 10 or 5 or 15 min intervals. hmmz how do we say 1:10 anyway? 1 sixth pass 1?

  + 1: fifteen is shorter (3 syllabus vs 4) and standardised with the other more complex times like 1:12

   

  edit: don't see which is more elegant either way *shrugs*

  think it's the british way of saying it. i remember having to get used to it when i was in UK. think over this part of the world, we tend to use the numbers etc.

  Quarter past 1 is definately 1:15 sharp

  You mean you consider 1:13 a quarter too???

  seriously, orchard road (not just orchard towers) look really bad these days. esp on weekends. noticable number of illegal street performers with no talent, beggard, people trying to sell you stuff etc.
