i went through E-company at Tekong a long time ago..
the OC had a red beret and told us he believed in tough training...
each day, after breakfast, drawing of arms and falling in to move out for training, the other companies woke up.. each night, we came back from training, the other companies had already sent in their arms, showered and were eating their nightsnack..
the OC marched with us through all the route marches, setting a cracking pace..
he ran the SOC, did log PT, leopard crawled up and down botak hill with us.. we had to do all that come hell or high water because our OC did it with us..
now.. i say those who whine at the resort-like holidays they call BMT these days are kuniangs..

so for outfield or whatever it's called...still gotta carry own bags or have they hired porters? eg climb mount kinabalu in borneo...porters can also carry you down if you're winded etc

I really hated our stupid oily trays and was soooooooo happy to not have to keep them and wash them anymoreit was like eating at a foodcourt! got choice somemore and after that just dump the plates to be washed by the cookhouse staff.

harlo it's not a case of misery love company here... it's abt fulfilling ur national duties and gog thru it like a man! if u dun want, just cut off ur dick or get the fuck out of the country...av and the club30 guys here are not as low as u...

ahhh memories. I was also overjoyed to find out that we didn't have to use soap anymore and were allowed to bring showergel/shampoo etc. our toilets always smelled nice and fruity when everyone was inside taking showers
