We used to have Club 30 dinners at the Esplanade's Makan Sutra outdoor hawker centre and then hop over to Harry's to hear a good jazz guitarist perform. kopi, you attended those outings too then, didn't you?

man, i don't even wanna go out in SG anymore.
well, i want to go out but there's nothing appealing anymore. i think i'm much happier with my guitar here...

Just once? I thought you were a pretty 'regular fixture' back then!
I do miss our outings. So many old forumites, who are no longer in the forums... so many friends whom I've either lost touch with or who are no longer my friends. I sooo cherish those who are still around!

I was reminded of how fast time flew.......
My grandma over at M'sia.....her dementia is getting worse. Behaves like a kid now.
She wanted to use a bottle to whack my aunt's head, my aunt bent her head over and told her: Go ahead and whack! I faint or die, nobody care for you, how?
And my grandma didn't want to whack after that.
But its like only yesterday she was still ok.

Oh dear... dementia is very very tough on the caregivers. I hope that your aunt gets the support she needs. Caregivers of demented people often burn out very fast. You guys take good care of your aunt, k?

She used to be very active......cannot stop working.
And now, when she tries to clear cups, she would take them and leave it at some place. And that includes cupboard tops.
And she's getting on age, movement is getting slower. And she fell sometime back.

Yeah.....my uncle engaged a maid to help out. A lot of care needed. -

Luckily someone returned home on time to see the fire lick the ceiling and quickly extinguish it! Till today, there are burn marks on the ceiling and the doors of a few cabinets. Siiigh...They've also made her wear a necklace with a card showing her address on it cause a few times, she wandered out and then forgot where her home was and strangers had to lead her home. Thank goodness the strangers were not thieves and didn't drop by to steal things along the way.

My gramma urinated in her room.....maid asked: You did it?She said no.
Still it is not easy to see her deteriorate like that. I see her only 2-3 times a year, and of late, everytime I see her, she usually becomes more skinny and forgetful.
