  Nothing to do with the Page No.  It's to do with the no. of posts.  We close when we hit 2000 posts although lately, we've closed a tad too early.

  For a while we had a few peeps who were effectively bilingual and who were a nice mix of Westernisation + tradition.  Saavy folks.  A few girls were definitely fashionable but not neurotic about body size, not shallow, not materialistic.  Those girls were also very bright sparks and for a while, we had really good discussions that at times got quite heated up.    I enjoyed the discussions and there were quite a few people I admired because their English was good and they were really smart.    Most importantly, I jived with them and we were tight.    I'm still in touch with most of them, btw.  I am extremely fond of them.  I quietly pray for their well-being.  We had a few memorable girls' night out sessions.

  I'm not so in touch with the 'newbies' in Club 30 because I went offline for a long while when I migrated here.  When I returned back online, it felt like I was entering a foreign forum.    The newbies had taken over, the oldies either disappeared or don't really gave a damn about whether I was around or not.

  Such is life... it's never static and you win some, you lose some.

  I think it's a bit like the friendships I had over the years. Some were my best friends in college and then somehow when we started working...the clique sort of drifted away. Not like we argued or anything. Then another group of good friends that lasted thru my first job. Of course there's this very group that has been with me since I was 13/14. Ahhh the passage of time.

  The husband and wife apparently got fired from their jobs, became despondent, and committed murder-suicide with the entire family.

  And just yesterday, up north in Queensland, an argument over some car cutting into the path of another ended up with a man shot dead!!!    The deceased man's friends were in the car and witnessed him getting shot and they are all very traumatised.  Apparently, it was a man of Middle Eastern descent who used the firearm.  They still haven't caught him.
