Not oddball at all! Sometimes, work gives us a semblance of normalcy. Sometimes, we derive satisfaction at work, esp if we're good at it and being recognised for it. At other times, work gives us a very welcome distraction, especially when we're hurting / grieving / getting over something...
I hope you're looking forward to work cause of the more positive reasons.
