Going off to Bali tomorrow. ![]()
I'm back - Thomson Plaza's food court is closed, and now there's no cheap and good food outlet there besides Subway. (Han's doesn't count)
zzzzzzz............not looking forward to next week.
anyway, here's a look at a loaf out of my breadmaker. it doesn't look pretty but tastes a lot better than it looks! ![]()

looks good actually...

a 1kg loaf like that supplies enough bread for a week's breakfast. its actually more filling than the typical soft gardenia/sunshine bread. texture is denser/harder. and the taste, you can tinker around with the provided recipes. and also boost nutritional value by using stuff like protein powder and multivitamins.
it could be alternated with your oatmeal ![]()
maybe its psychological for me.. but i find that bread which is broken and not sliced, somehow taste better?

ahem, it was an accident. since i'm the only one eating from the loaf it doesn't matter. my mother prefers soft white bread. ![]()

oh, this particular loaf not meant to be eaten with spreads. its lightly sweetened with brown sugar and chopped glazed ginger. good on its own.

So far I've only made sweet ones, I'm wondering if subsituting butter in place of oil in the recipe will make it even nicer.
For the savory stuff, I'm eyeing the sweet corn and capsicun recipe.

might as well just take the butter alone.. no need to waste time to make it into bread ..
