Yeah... can put little cubes of cheese inside fritter balls to fry.
Some Italian recipes involve cooking cheese in your pan too. Flash frying more like.
My dog only sniff at it and refused to eat the biscuits
He won't throw a tantrum and flip the bowl
Than my neighbour's cat and birds will come and snack on dog biscuits
I love cooking campbell soup back in Singapore.
Manzz.....one can of tomatoe soup is my whole days big meal.
With lots of sliced bread.
Errmm....I am a sloppy single when come to think of it.

I used to eat like that as a student
Canned soup with lots of bread and maybe an egg :x
I think I mentioned this.
Worked in Milano Pizza and the french onion soup taste better after someone dumped in a cup of parmesan cheese in the big soup maker.

See the thing is it's safe to eat something gassed with Carbon Monoxide because it won't poison you. It's the inhaling part that will kill you.
AVA in Singapore is very strict about gassing meat with Carbon Monoxide because you can't tell if the meat as gone bad. There is no colour change or smell but the meat has gone bad. That is the scary part
See! See!! So you can't blame me for being overly suspicious with raw meat!
I don't have a fridge thermometer yet and until I have one and until I am SURE that my fridge is chilled to the temp it should be for keeping raw meat optimally, I will continue to trust my instincts.
I've ever held a tray of raw chicken fillets, they felt a bit... not right. Sniffed them, felt they smelt slightly dodgy, not the usual raw chix smell I'm used to, not even past expiry yet, but down the trashbin they went because they just didn't seem 'right'.
And they were purchased from the Vietnamese poultry stall, which is even dodgier than the supermarts. I never went back there again. ![]()
I'm starting to trust the Richmond Mall deli's and butcher and seafood seller. I've gone there just before closing and seen them clean the entire stall and display. I think their turnover is also pretty high so they have kinda gained my trust.
Fried camembert is yummy! ![]()

Ooooh yeah....I remember eggs.
sunny side up......hardboiled and shelled and mix with mayo, a little bit vinegar, chilli sauce, placed in the fridge for the week.
Accompany it with bread, soda crackers & soup......yum yum...... I tried being more veggie by throwing in those frozen mix cubed veggies like corn, carrots & peas. In other words, bulk up the eggs fillings.

Well we have AVA here
There was a batch of imported pork which was rejected by AVA (not in papers though) coz it was heavily treated with Carbon Monoxide

Sounds pretty similar to what I did though the mixture is a bit different
Yeah I lived on mixed frozen veggies too as a student

Oooh... I love the variety of Campbell's and Heinz soups here, especially the Chunky ones! Sometimes, when lazy, I'll just cook a few pasta shells and add them into the soup.
Or if I have crusty bread, I'd toast the bread and dip them in the soup. ![]()
I just bought two cans of new flavours from Heinz Big N' Chunky : Spicy Salami, Bacon & Pasta (Yummy!!) and the not-new Corn and Bacon Chowder.
Now, if only I can get hold of a container of decent Bacon Bits. I read the ingredients label on the one and only brand that Coles in Richmond Mall carried and it didn't pass my inspection.
Actually, none of the canned soups pass my inspection, but ... they are comfort food... esp when the weather turns cold... ![]()
If you buy clam chowder, buy another can of cream corn, not the soup.
Throw in the cream or kernal corns into the clam chowder and you will get really really sweet soup.
Fried camembert?
Manz....i buy it, sliced it, put in the fridge without air tight it so it can dry up more in the air of the fridge.
Then eat it like a snack.
Fried cheese will be interesting. Where to try it?
In other news, everyone is saying Shelly look cuter than Piggy :x
Sigh... the most important French lesson I had was the Chapter on ordering food in a restaurant!
THAT is like THE chapter I lived for and waited for with baited breath, y'know! ![]()
How to order French food with the correct pronunciation. How to ask for the restroom politely. How to ask for a pitcher of water... All very very essential for survival!! ![]()
And then, I read of the rustic French bistros where they'd have more or less the same bunch of customers around every lunchtime and the menu for lunch is fixed only after the morning's marketing has been done so you turn up, you eat whatever's being cooked and you'll KNOW that it's the freshest you can ever get.
Now, that is the kind of restaurants with soul! Not the stainless steel, young punks frying and gossiping about their latest conquests and not really caring about the greasy sloppy mess of food they serve you. ![]()
You forgot to mention.....
its the young chinese students cooking up a storm in the kitchen......
Originally posted by elindra:In other news, everyone is saying Shelly look cuter than Piggy :x
Yeah! I think Shelly will look even cuter sandwiched between a hamburger bun! Or with a deep-fried crusted shell!
Not for eating, but in the style of the Japanese cutesy characters where the cats dress up as all manner of food. Think they were called "Nyan Nyan Nyanko"? My favourite!! I still have all manner of Nyan Nyan Nyanko stationery, all left back in SG!
I want them!! ![]()

No leh! Got ang moh's also. All of them have one thing in common - they heck-care what they're doing and they all look like they'd rather be out under the sun doing something else. ![]()
Wow... the large, nasty ulcer right on my gum underneat one tooth took more than seven days and it's still there!
Medigel is usually very effective but should have used salt this time round...

Time for a slice of watermelon! Better still... stand outside on the corridor, slurping it up. ![]()
Missy, blend the watermelon into juice and add some soda water to it. Nice mocktail....

Don't own a blender, nor a food processor, nor a juicer...
Can't make smoothies although I'm dying to.

Good investment especially you still have the blueberries in the freezer and about to pick some more....
Watermelon + Green Apple or just Red Apple Juice was my favourite at the hawker ctr fruit sellers'.
I love the fresh fruit shops in Singapore. SGD3.oo can buy different slices of fruits. No wonder I was so bwee bwee back then... so cheap to eat well...
