so far ... till now .... 5.38PM, PST ....
I, Fatum, have only ingested a standard cereal bowl of oatmeal, with two spoons of honey and milk, warmed up in the microwave .......
I have only snacked on a single standard issue pineapple tart thus far ..... and drank 4 glasses of water .....
nothing else passed my lips .... ![]()

By the way, a funny experience I had just now at the MRT.....
A schoolgirl came up to me and asked me if she could 'ask some questions' to help with her D&T project. So, I thought, fine, I'm helping a kid with her project.....
Schoolgirl: What do you think of movement?
Me: Huh? Movement? Movement of people?
Schoolgirl: No no no.... I just want to know what you think of movement.
Me: Uhhh.... it's all about getting from point A to point B?
Schoolgirl: Ok, thank you for your time.
I was, like..... what on earth was that all about? ![]()

SINGAPORE: Singapore has launched a S$100 million plan to move customer service up another notch.
Announcing this on Monday morning was Minister in Prime Minister's Office Lim Swee Say, who mapped out a three-pronged strategy for the next three years.
The money will go into boosting capabilities of the service sector through training, but also into the more philosophical aspects through research and thought leadership.
This research will be done at the Institute of Service Excellence at the Singapore Management University.
The Singapore Tourism Board will also start a national campaign later this year to promote good service.
Mr Lim was speaking at the launch of the second phase of the Customer-Centric Initiative at retailer Metro.
This is part of the service movement started in 2005, which resulted in Singapore climbing up the World Economic Forum's service ranking from 26th to 10th last year.

i think mom likes the more tender one... ![]()
Ok I'll stick to the USA duck next time
As for Cust service what kind of service do they expect when most of those in Cust Service are PRC
And alot of front liners can barely speak English!!!!
i think Lim Siah Sway is going to throw that $$$ away...
you can't train people to give a shit..
and you can't get people to give a shit until they take pride in their work in the service industry...
and they won't take pride in their work until they are paid and treated properly by their bosses.. and also by the general public...
maybe they should throw that $$$ into a campaign to educate the public to treat service staff with humanity instead of treating them like dirt..
