So long as I have two arms, two legs, and a head on an intact body, the welfare of my parents is the responsibility of my siblings and myself. If my parents can put up with caring for me for 25 years (and counting), I can put up with caring for them in their twilight years.
Some things are more than just about dollars and cents.... sadly, with magnificent suggestions like this from our illustrious leaders......

That's Singapore, Inc., for you. If you're old and no longer working, you have stopped being productive and have become a burden to society and should be shipped off to a foreign land to live out your twilight years.Sad that the government would even contemplate that option.

that's why they keep telling us retirement is death and that we should keep working into our 80s...if we even live that long

I have a problem. I like this guy A, but he's seeing this girl B. B and I are good friends, but her sister C is my worst enemy. Unfortunately, C happens to be going out with another guy I like, D. A and D are alike in so many ways, but while A is rich, D is more caring.
If I go for D, how should I deal with the emotions of C, and is it worth giving up A for him?
