I go dig e list
if you're talking abt e thread, it was tat they say JC is e route to uni.. poly route must be like top 10%
e uni cut off point does speak a diff picture

Hmmm
I wun be surprised lor coz the thing is that our local Uni have lost a lot of good poly grads to other good Unis around the world
And the news all must be humililating to them

e other time I told you before abt 1 example
cos tat ger was a poly student, NUS did not want to accept her for medicine. but she ended up taking medicine in UK e following year
At e same time as she started taking medicine, they decided to accept some poly students ![]()
anyway even if they opened up e figures, it does not show a true picture. cos for poly students they still look at their O lvl grades, so if they did well in poly but did not for O levels, they might still be at a disadvantage unless they're in e top 10%
e uni cut off pt, you see e A level applicant side, all must be like almost straight A grade to get into most of e courses

5 years ago, it was 40% poly, 10% ITE, 48% JC, 2% Pre-Uni intake
now is 60% poly, 7% ITE, 32% JC, 1% Pre-Uni intake
times have change. ![]()

Scholar Type does not mean succeed in life lor
My boss was just telling story about his brillient friend who excelled in school
But fail at work coz the intelligence is different ...and the application too

I fear in future our world would be runned by scholars who aren't versed in reality
I still remembered last yr being e year full of twist and turns like tat taxi in CBD thingy

my other ear is bleeding now...! :x
All I gotta say is, JC or poly, once you get into uni, all bets are off, and everyone is on the same even playing ground.
Doesn't matter which secondary school/JC/poly you're from.... once you're in uni, you're on the same level as everyone else.
By the way, I'm at Espirit Raffles City right now.
They have a 'members-only' section where one can rest and surf the net.... and the FS just happens to have an Espirit membership card.
So while she's busy doing her girl's stuff (shopping).... I'm just slacking here. ![]()
