is it just me, or are kids nowadays not as well behave as before ? ....
I often see a whole bunch of kids in secondary school uniform smoking at the park behind my estate nowadays when I walk patches ....

now e kids are just getting Westernisedgot see today's paper? now they're even bringing in lethal weapons to skool

being westernized, or not has nothing to do with it methinks .....
I think it's simply the parent's fault .....
lack of parental control .... parents are too busy making a living to bring up their kids properly ...
even when I jog around the nearby zhenghua hdb estates in the middle of the night, you see packs of those teenagers on the deserted streets, young teens, floppy dyed hair, bah long long attitude, swaggering around in their flip flops in shoals ... shouldn't they be in bed at 2am in the morning ? don't they have school the next day ? ... and for that matter, weren't there supposed to be a curfew for teens in place ? ...

ah yes ... the matas ... weren't there some snippet of news some time back that says Singapore has one of the lowest police officers to population ratio in the developed world ? ... something like 250+ per 10000, compared to the recommended ratio of around 300 something ? ....
there used to be a 24 hour police post in zheng hua, but in the name of cost cutting, it's now an 8-5 set up ... with a phone outside for you to phone for police assist after orpid hours .....
makes you feel safe doesn't it ? ...

you hear so much of it everywhere ... the police takes donkey minutes to arrive, the ambulance takes donkey minutes to arrive ...

you know why so many pple complain ambulances arrive late..
have you ever considered the traffic situations & most of the time, the nearest available ambulance will be dispatched to 995 calls but most pple even NOT emergency they also call 995..
not to mention those false calls too..
