Who knows? Maybe the server fees were too high? Threat of litigation? I don't know....
Earlier today, a few fellas and I sharply rebuked some people in the sgforums stomp forum for glibly flaming some middle-aged man who was sitting down in an MRT and supposedly refused to give up his seat.
My point is, what's there to tell us that the story's even true?
And even if it were true and the man really was in the wrong..... then how is posting his picture online any better?
I guess the TS finally got the idea and closed the thread.

i think it's just.. a bunch of kaypoh people..
STOMP was supposed to be citizen journalism.. it became a place for people to feel superior by pointing out the "sins" of others

Yeah, well, there have been times where I've offered my seat to an old man or a pregnant woman, only to be rebuffed.
It's not the norm, but it does happen from time to time. And every time that happens, I wonder what would happen if some dumbo were to board later on, snap my photo, and defame me online.
If I were to appear on STOMP one fine day under a heading like 'Student ignores pregnant woman standing in front of him', you can bet your tuchas that I'd threaten the fella with litigation. Let's see how superior he would feel then.
