LOL the scenes from Qatar are bizarre - there's a massive thunderstorm like what we saw in Sepang last week, in the desert! The floodlit MotoGP has been delayed indefinitely.
I wonder which rider's garage will break out he ice-cream first this time.

which comes back to this: it's the driver, not the equipment.. i've seen boys with a bamboo rod and no reel haul up nice fish while the guy with the expensive equipment beside them come up with nothing...
and.. sorry to burst your bubble fatum, even attenborough is putting his name behind the Optimum Population Trust
way too many people on the planet... it's not sustainable anymore...

it's my rod actually ....
the fishing reel's handle got bent ... but that doesn't hurt as much as the fishing rod .......
and for sure, good equipment a good angler does not make ..... but it sure enhances the fishing experience ....
I have a night lure fishing trip after the barracuda coming up in a few days ... now I've been stripped of my best weapon .... -_-

their dentition also meant that they are superb lure destroyers ...
they are actually quite nice to eat ... but yeah, ciguartera poisoning ....
in anycase, this crazy bunch I'm fishing with are 100% catch and release fellows ...
they bring along fish tags from NUS, not cooler boxes ...

you're supposed to remove the tag, record down the time, weight, length, and location of the capture and send the info together with the tag back to the department.
there are several tagging program around, both local and overseas, just that many anglers don't know about it.

I don't know the return rate ....
but a low return rate would mean two things .... either
1. people are catching the fish and not returning the tags ....
or
2. the fish population is so healthy that you're not catching the same fishies twice ....
but there are plenty of farktards out there that cull every single critter they catch, big or small, edible or not ...

I've been fishing at least once a week for the past 7 weeks ....
and I've been outfished 4 to 1 on the last 3 ...
first time, we were arguing about buddhism and the no taking of life policy ....
second time ... I was arguing about christianity with this born again chap ....
third time was last weekend ... I just had a general bad day ....
