to me, that pales into comparison what the yellow and blue shirts did .......
those fellows got away with murders .....
thai society is a lot more stratified between the haves and the have-nots, between the urban rich and the rural poor, than we know it ....
I've seen the way some of those high-socs behave in public, and towards the rural people ... it's disgraceful .....
thaksin may have been a billionaire, but he's a billionaire with a common touch ... his 50 baht universal healthcare made more of a difference to the rural poor than anything else everyone else did.

well ... like I said last night ... this ruling dynasty got onto power on the backs of another man named thaksin a few hundred years ago .... ironically, he was a half chinese too ....
in the other news, one of my aunts' in a spot, cos she's booked a spa holiday in bangkok for next week ....
I got bugged the whole afternoon to help get her a refund ...

My classmate is going on a trip to Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia/Thailand, and people have been trying to talk to her out of it lately. We concluded that she should pack just black, white, pink and green clothes.

well, to me, thailand is pretty safe ......
safer than probably any other country in this region other than singapore ....
when indonesia riots, foreigners run, when thailand riots, foreigners are just stuck there watching a show ...
