they don't have the "software" on the ground for such things .... and they won't for a long long time ....
They don't seem to realize that when you take care of the basics (education, healthcare, sanitation, flood control, housing, law and order), everything else will follow suit.
Success is a lot more than just building a large industrial region in the south and sending a spaceflight participant in a Russian rocket..... tackle the bread-and-butter issues first, and caviar and foie gras will follow soon.
It's kinda hard to believe in their system when 50 ringgit settles everything up there.
I was stood up by my classmate again, when we were supposed to go out this morning. I seriously wonder if she and her housemates are making a joke out of me.

Anyway, just finished a lite bite. Might just zzz before prancing on the yoga mat.
The phone was switched off.
Nope. Instead of going to Poison Ivy with her, I'm waiting for Dad to return from Aston's in Sembawang.
I already ganna twa by a guy so often, especially its regards to just going to Johor Bahru.
Am starting to be detached whenever he sms-ses to ask me whether I am free. Think some people just cannot trust.

I think it's a good thing too .... a lot of people I know, especially those SMU types, only dream of making big bucks chasing paper profits ....
nothing wrong with dreaming of making big bucks of course ...but on a societal level, paper profits is just that ...
but on a societal level, I think it's a different story ... a teacher nurtures the next generation, an engineer makes things run and improves our daily lives .... a doctor heals people ... a policeman keeps the peace ... a farmer grows food, a scientist contributes to our understanding of the world ... .... each of these professions contributes to the well-being of the society, adds to our body of knowledge, advances society, and maybe even humanity ....
but I know quite a few people, smart, some even brilliant mensa types, who does nothing but chases paper profit on forex futures and other financial products ... sure, they make a good living, some even make a fabulous living, a couple of years out of the uni ... but I think it's insane ... their existence is almost ... parasitic ? ...

well ... that won't make him that different from other banana republic politicians .... most of his peers are quite quite used to the sound of gunfire .... ![]()
