This is Shimano's Calcutta TE DC 200 .... DC = digital control ..... the thing has a Microprocessor on the left plate that controls the casting process in real time !!!!!!!!! .... the spool will never over-run during the casting process ..... first, and only, in the world .....

the best part about that reel ... is that the microprocessor circuit is self energizing .....
during the cast, the spinning metal spool generates the electrical energy required for the microprocessor via magnectic induction ! ... no need for batteries ! ....
brilliant ! ....
it would be fun to strip that reel down to play with it .....
