Gas prices here in the US are starting to float upward too--it's currently at around US$2.30/gal. for regular unleaded in my neck of the woods.
On a somewhat related note, it appears the fuel gauge in my car is malfunctioning. The needle is stuck in the "full" position as hasn't moved in over 100 miles of driving. I tried pulling and resetting the fuse for the fuel level sensor, but to no avail. Looks like a trip to the mechanic is in the cards... ![]()

piangz... it's like those older SBS buses, faulty fuel guage.. but for e buses it's ok, they refuel diesel every night

I'm not too worried about the malfunctioning fuel gauge issue, as I normally zero the trip odometer whenever I gas up the vehicle, and know how many miles I can go on a full tank of gas. My car has a 13.2 gal. fuel tank and averages about 28 mpg, so I could theoretically go about 370 miles on a full tank.
But a functioning fuel gauge is actually a legal requirement for driving on the roads here, so I'll eventually get it fixed.

Oooohh... congrats, dude! I know that feeling of finally being able to stop paying rent and start building equity. I stayed in a rented apartment for the first five years here, before buying my house in '95.
Are you going to install a gun safe in the new house? ![]()
