That one is Air Batu Camphor (ABC)
I wonder how Californians feel living under the constant fear that the "The Big One" could strike at any moment, with little or no warning.
An earthquake is perhaps the most frightening of all natural disasters as there's really no place to run to for safety, unlike, say, a tornado or hurricane, which are much more localized.

I overheated on my 24 click....came down with a 40 degree fever immediately after that.I don't even know why the heck I was trying so hard....I was relying completely on willpower to finish it.
Now I think back, that was a damn dangerous thing to do.
40 degrees? That was definitely heat exhaustion bordering on heat stroke. You could have literally been killed without immediate medical intervention.

Yah.
I could very well have gotten myself killed.
Damn stupid of me to actually carry on.
Oh well. That was my first and last 24 click.
I knew something was damn wrong when I was sweating like mad....but I just kept going on and on.
Ah well, that was the closest I've ever got to getting heat stroke.

Do as your body tells you...

Turnip is.. err.. err.. I only know in Hokkien - Mang Kwang...~

Certainly not sweating until I go light-headed....
And yeah....when I stopped at last at 11pm....I stopped sweating.
Felt totally wasted....the feeling was indescribable.
i think i drank about 5 litres of water during the 24km route march
Originally posted by cassie:Did you take any fluids during the run?
Me?
Nono....that was no run.
It's a walk with all my equipments.
hmm.. turnip = 芜

I drink all 3 litres from my hydration pack for 10km hikes ![]()
Originally posted by cassie:No liquids at all? That’s probably why you came down with a temp.
I have forgotten how much I downed....but I believe it's quite substantial, I mean...there's water parades?
And the new LBV allows you to keep the water flowing into you as you walk, hands free.
Honestly speaking, if you've been sweating very heavily, drinking plain water can actually make things worse by diluting the remaining electrolytes in your body.
Which was probably why I friggin' came down with heat cramps in the dead of the night even though I already drank quite a lot beforehand.
In such cases, you need isotonic drinks.

My mental faculties all gone by the time I reached.
And the worst thing I could do when I got back...
Bathe in the friggin ice-cold midnight Tekong water!
I shivered like mad and it gave me a damn splitting headache and cramps here and there.
And then I measured my temperature knowing something is really wrong by now. 40 degs.
My reaction was: Oh.
