Spock was good, and bringing in Leonard Nimoy as the older Spock was brilliant.

I saw ST over the weekend too. I wouldn't consider myself a trekker, but I did enjoy the movie somewhat.
Zachary Quinto was spot-on as Spock, and the guy who played Dr. McCoy was very believable as the younger version of the character. The others... mehhh....
However, one aspect of the movie that annoyed me was the excessive use of camera shake to heighten the drama of certain scenes. This did nothing except give me a headache after a while.

I'm no Trekkie, either..... I do remember watching Star Trek: The Next Generation (the series where Patrick Stewart was cast as the captain) when I was a kid, though.

I never liked the original star trek. but I did enjoy the new movie! -

Actually (or surprisingly), the hairdos of the characters in the current ST movie are more contemporary vis-a-vis the original series from the '60s. -
