Here's a continuation of this afternoon's nightmare hotel reviews.

In Helsinki:
"i paid which I thought was average for a 4 star hotel. From the outside and on entry, the hotel looks like a 2 star . The decor is old and the building is screaming for a lick of paint both inside and outside. The furniture is outdated. The staff were very helpful in getting us checked in. The key for the room is about 30 years old and it was difficult to gain entry.
"The room itself was comfortable and warm. The en-suite was lovely where there was great pressure in the showers and the tiles were heated. However, there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and these had to be purchased from the reception and every occassion. There was a ridiculously overpriced minibar there for the thirsty and desperate. Fancy using the gym, swim & sauna? No probs, you couldn't swing a cat in the gym, you'll get hypothermia in the pool and pay €15 per person to warm up again in the sauna!!"
