think most peeps in my family prefer western cutlery so it's basically a non-event at family events. nobody bats an eyelid. -
actually I have no attachment to "culture" of using chopsticks or whatever. more important should be is the utensils suited to eating the food well.

I like using chopsticks .... not out of cultural chauvinism, but because it's a precision tool .....
it's the only thing to use when you want to dig out that cheek from the steamed fish, or grab a tiny morsel of minced meat ....

I'd save a shitload of $$$ too if I just packed leftovers from dinner fornext day's lunch. I did that for a while....then decided it was too depressing eating leftovers alone during lunchtime :x -
the good thing about the uni canteen is that you can bring your own food to eat there. so i can still eat with people.
or, you can do it a couple of days a week or something...=p
