I think I told you guys once....
I had steak at this place at IMM, costing $12.90.
When it arrived..... it was not even the size of my palm. It was the size of the heel of my palm.
And I don't exactly have King Kong hands.
Basket.... even my faculty canteen serves bigger-sized steak.... for $3.40!

I went to ashton's for the first time with someone last night ......
it's the best value steak I've ever had .....
two person just over 40 bucks with beer .... and the portions were generous ! ....

one of the best eating fresh water fish in south east asia after the soon hock ...

there are a few different species.
some fish tend to look a bit deformed when they grow too big. this is about the biggest I've seen.
the west malaysian and local versions are much smaller, about a few kilos max, and then is greyish blue with dark spots right ....
caption says this was caught in kalimantan .... probably different species of the same genus.

but i had their giant burger... it was good.. stole some of her steak
we went to the expensive version (Aston Prime) another time.. good stuff.. good value even if it was stupendously expensive because the service there was excellent.. they were not hovering, yet they were attentive.. made very good suggestions and recommendations, sorted out dessert even when they actually were about to close the kitchen...
steak if you crave their wagyu.. but if you are hankering for something hearty, their giant burger is the way to go!

11" for 1k
That is cheap considering a 6" fish usually retails for 3k - 4k
