This is a typical modern hindi movie which is totally different from what you watch in the past.

Mudhalvan (Tamil)
The story focuses on Pughazhendhi (Arjun). He happens to be an ambitious TV cameraman, working for “Q TV”. His opposite person is the Chief Minister (CM) of the state, played by Raghuvaran. During riots triggered by a fight between some college students and bus drivers, which threaten to touch upon the touchy issue of castes, the CM reveals his unwillingness to take strong action to quell the violence for fear of estranging any of his (political) bases. To set things right, he then appears on a (live) interview with Pughazhendi, who had coincidentally captured the CM's earlier unwillingness to take a stand, on camera.
In this interview in response to Pughazh's pointed questioning about the poor working of his government, the CM ducks the question by instead talking about how difficult his job is, and by challenging Pugazh to be the CM for one day. Pugazh reluctantly accepts the seat of the Chief Minister in the place of Aranganathan (Raghuvaran). Educated and vigilant, Pugazh moves fast. He takes care of almost every aspect in a day's time, giving the slum their rightful apartments and getting jobs for the unemployed, suspending inefficient and corrupt government officers. All the way he is assisted by the secretary, Mayakrishnan (Manivannan). As the last act of the day he gets Aranganathan arrested as he is the root of all the corruption. But Aranganathan bails out, passes an ordinance to nullify all orders passed by Pugazh when he was the CM. Taking Pugazh's success as an insult, Aranganathan sends goons to get him killed and destroys his house.
Meanwhile Pugazh falls in love with an innocent village girl called Thenmozhi (Manisha Koirala). But her father (Vijaykumar) wants his daughter's suitor to be a government civil worker. So after his tenure as a one-day CM he starts preparing for the Indian Civil Service Examination when his earlier secretary comes in and tells him that Pugazh's popularity has rocketed sky-high and people want him to become the next CM of the state. He refuses but then Aranganathan's henchman attacks the Q TV news agency. Mayakrishnan then tells Pugazh that he has become a part of politics and Aranganathan will never leave him at peace and Pugazh's lawsuit against Aranganathan is bound to fail. But Thenmozhi's father dissuades Pugazh from joining politics. However, on seeing the people’s plight he agrees to stand in the elections.
In the ensuing state elections, he wins by full majority. But Thenmozhi’s father angered by Pugazh's decision refuses to let his daughter marry him. Here, Aranganathan’s political allies desert him causing his defeat. On becoming the chief minister, Pugazhendhi brings about lots of improvements and quickly becomes an idol in the people’s eyes. However his growing popularity is threatened continuously by Aranganathan who uses his henchmen to kill him or at least tarnish is image as a public hero. But Pugazh promptly answers by digging out all accusations against Aranganathan and his allies. This, however, causes a reunion of Aranganathan and his allies. After a failed attempt on Pugazh's life by hiring an assassin, a bomb is detonated at his home killing his parents.
In the final attempt Aranganathan orders his P.A. to destroy law and order and cause bomb explosions in various parts of the city. But a priest is able to overhear a few men planning to detonate bombs. He immediately notifies Pugazh's office via the "Complaint Box" department. Aranganathan's P.A. is arrested and under tactical inquiry by Pugazh and his secretary, he discloses the location of the bombs. A Bomb Squad successfully defuses all the bombs. Aranganathan , however, uses this success against Pugazh by blaming the young CM for the bomb. Seeing no way out, Pugazh summons Aranganathan to the secretariat and creates a situation such that it would seem as if Aranganathan was there to shoot Pugazh but failed. The security guards shoot down Aranganathan killing him. Pugazh, secretly tells Mayakrishnan the truth but Mayakrishnan believes that Aranganathan deserved it. Thenmozhi's father also comes to realize that Pugazh is in fact a great man who sees duty before everything else and allows Thenmozhi to marry him.
The final scene shows Tamil Nadu developing over the years under Pugazhendhi's Government.
My Review : An excellent Bollywood movies. Just not too long ago, there was a report about criminals and gangsters running for politics in India. This movies reflects the desire of the people that a hero will arise one day to rid them of such corruptions. Like all Bollywood movies, the hero fighting sequences will put Rambo to shame.

But on the day of the wedding, Geum Na Ra shows up to collect the debts and ends up ruining her plans. Joo Hee vows to take her revenge on him but she falls in love with him instead. Ha Woo Sung (Shin Dong Wook), also a moneylender, is a handsome young man who seem to have no worries in life. He and Geum Na Ra are rivals, in business and in love. Lee Cha Yeon (Kim Jung Hwa) is a money banker.
My Review :
MONEY!!! that's the center of this story."Private financial institution" or the illegal "Ah Long" is the cause of many broken families and homes even in Singapore. It is a cause of concern as it becomes a social problem to friends , relatives and neighbours. In recent years , even the innocent neighbours were not spared either.
On the other hand, what sort of recourse does the common citizens have. Banks would not borrow without collaterals and guarantees, sometime even withdrawing them in rainy days. There's no real differences between Ah Long and banks, except only instead of thugs and pig head, court orders and summons are send.

My Review :
This is indeed a bonus to the fans of Bae Yong Jun. There's a rerun of this show on the TV. The first episode is indeed fasinating. Being a fans of 3D animation, I give 5 stars to the graphic arts. However I was disappointed that the 3D animations didn't appear again as all the four animals becomes becomes human being. The tea plantation was indeed refreshing. I believe Jeju was where it was taken.
Cha Young Jin is the first female to ever work as a bodyguard in the Presidential resident, Chungwadae. Young Jin and Yoo Gwang Pil work as bodyguards assigned to watch over the president's son, Kang Soo Ho. They are assigned to guard Soo Ho for 15 months.
My Review :
Not much meaning in this show.
Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Ryung acts as a useless gangster in the marketplace by day but at night he is a chivalrous robber who robs corrupt government officials to give to the poor. After each robbery he leaves behind a wooden branch from a plum tree at the site of the robbery to take responsibility for the robbery. The poor citizens only know him as Iljimae. Bong Soon is a hilarious girl with good martial art skills and lives as a swindler. She only loves Ryung and sacrifices her whole life for him. Eun Chan is a doctor's daughter and is good in nature and usually helps miserable people. She meets Iljimae once by chance, and their sweet love story begins. However, her love puts Iljimae in a dangerous situation because an Imperial Guard also loves her.
My Review :
I have alway like period drama, those period dressing. The first few episode was abit slow but once he grew up and became IIjimae, it becomes pretty exciting making you want to follow the episode.
Choi Kang (Eric Mun), a freeloader at home, has a hard time finding a job after being expelled from high school for fighting. He is admired by the gangs for his fighting ability, but his younger brother, working in the prestigious LK Corp., looks down on him. Then a little luck, and a bit of fortune lands him a meeting with the President and a job at the KSA (Korean Secret Agency)...and perhaps a girl or two are coming his way
My Review :
A spy comedy drama. There's no North Korean spies, just political blacksheep who uses whatever power they had for monetary and political gains.
Gourmet
Sung Chan is a talented cook. He peddles food from his truck all over the country to discover the best and precious traditional Korean cuisines
My review: I am still watching this drama serial showing on cable at the moment. Beautiful presentations of the food presented and touching stories that goes behind some of the dishes ...
The story of a young, idealistic teacher who enters Shirokin Gakuen with hopes of making a difference in the students' lives. However, Yamaguchi Kumiko (Nakama Yukie) is in for a rude awakening when she finds that she will be the homeroom teacher of 3-D, the hardest class to maintain in the school. The students have multi-colored hair, sloppy uniforms, and show absolutely no respect to her. The leader of the class, Sawada Shin is lazy but bright and shows some interest in Yamaguchi when he notices that she is very different from other teachers. The students try to bully her to make her quit, but their attempts don't get them very far.
What the class and the rest of the school does not know is that Yamaguchi Kumiko is actually the 4th generation heir to the Ooedo Group, a notorious yakuza clan. Even though her family would like her to take the title of Ojou when her grandfather dies, they have accepted the fact that Yamaguchi would rather be a teacher.
Eventually, the students learn to respect their quirky teacher because of her devotion to them, and even give her a nickname: Yankumi.
My Review :
Another one of those full of passion teacher of a class of "hopeless" students. Maybe it's the dream of every "hopeless" student to meet a teacher that can understand them and their thinking.
Somewhere in the vast sea of the Internet, there's a website that can only be accessed at the stroke of midnight. Known as the Jigoku Tsushin, rumor has it that if you post a grudge there, the Jigoku Shoujo will appear and drag whoever torments you into the inferno. Very little is known about the girl - all we know for sure is that she lives with her equally enigmatic grandmother, that three magical straw dolls accompany and serve her, and that whenever a posting on the Jigoku Tsushin moves her, she becomes the Jigoku Shoujo.
My Review :
Adapted from a manga, it's a dream of those who were bullied that some supernatural force will punished they bullies. Anyway, after two or three stories, it becomes a little boring. Still, I prefer the anime series to the drama one.

A Japanese take on Notting Hill (1999). Sosuke Nakata (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi), is just your everyday salaried worker. There is really nothing special that stands out about Nakata. He is a serious guy, whose life mostly consists of going back and forth to the office each day.
Suddenly one day though, Nakata just happens to meet a certain woman by coincidence-top star, Hikaruko Kirishima (Fujiwara Norika). Just by talking to her, Nakata is left standing feeling like he has just seen a dream.
Several days later, Kirishima calls an emergency press conference.
And there she announces..."I am now dating a gentleman by the name of Sosuke Nakata, a salaried worker, whom I intend to marry."
An announcement about their "relationship," out of the blue! More than that, this top star's boyfriend is just your typical salaried worker!! What does Kirishima have up her sleeve as she hides behind her intrepid smile?!
Nakata obviously has no idea about what happened at the press conference. He also doesn't know what lies ahead for him at work, and about Hikaruko's true intentions.
This story, a somewhat funny, but romantic love story, follows the footsteps of a man and woman from very different worlds, as they experience the painful and sometimes remarkable ups and downs of love.
My Review :
Pretty similar storyline like the korean drama "That Fool" where a low salaried worker becomes a centre of attraction because of some famous actress and media and love finally blossom.
Yoo Min-woo's (Song Seung Heon) first love was Soh Eun-hye (Shin Ae). No love was greater than the love between these two...until Eun-hye get's into a car accident. Eun-hye dies...leaving one thing left behind...her heart. Shim Hye-won (Son Yeh Jin) has suffered from a terrible heart disease ever since childhood. Miraculously she finds that she will be obtaining a heart from a donor, Soh Eun-hye.
Suffering from the pain of a heartache, Min-woo goes to Paris to study...the memories of Eun-hye still rest in his heart. When he returns to Korea, fate takes a turn and brings Hye-won and Min-woo together. When the two first meet, Hye-won's heart (Eun-hye's heart), oddly beats faster when she is around Min-woo.
Park Jung-jae (Ryu Jin) is Hye-won's boyfriend. Park Jung-ah (Han Ji Hye) is Jung-jae's sister and she meets Min-woo in Italy and falls for him...
Hye-won doesn't know why or what she feels when she's with Min-woo...and Min-woo feels guilt toward Eun-hye, because the feeling of love rises once again as he continues to see Hye-won...
My Review :
One of those with titles with the four seasons. a tears jerker drama. Anyway, the real attraction for me is really those beautiful tea plantations in Jeju.
Romance Zero is a 16 epsiode drama which mainly focus on 4 different characters who work at a wedding planning company or match making company. While they help others find romance, they themselves have a hard time finding one true love.
Each episode will carry different love story involving their customers
My Review :
Pretty funny drama. Imagine your clients are a dead person, an underworld boss, a cross dresser, an aggrogant millionaire son etc....and you have to find them a suitable partners.
Having lost her father at an early age, farm security guard Chan Sai-Mui (Yumiko Cheng) grew to be an outspoken and determined woman who would do her utmost to protect her home village. It is her sincerity that has won her respect from all villagers of the Leung Choi County. Sometimes she would get too enthusiastic and impulsive that she could bring about a lot of misunderstandings. Amusingly, she has mistaken the newly appointed agricultural magistrate Tse Wong-Sheung (literal meaning "Thank you, Emperor") (Steven Ma) for a thief and the two of them have been bitter enemies ever since. To keep himself from any possible trouble, Sheung has been avoiding Mui intentionally.
For the benefit of his son's future, Sheung's father Tse Chong-Tin (Ha Yu) has not only invited the intelligent Tai Tsung-Man (Wayne Lai) to be Sheung's assistant, but also found him four special bodyguards playfully named Chuk (Congee), Fun (Rice Noodle), Mein (Wheat Noodle), and Fan (Rice). (The names are foods that are the main staple foods of China.) Despite the best arrangements for Sheung, he still gets framed by the corrupted officials from Changsha and is in danger of facing the most torturing punishment. Luckily, Mui and Man manage to save him in the nick of time with a jade bowl bestowed by the former emperor. To everyone's surprise, the jade bowl turns out a fake, but with Man's wit and courage, Sheung is finally saved from danger. Mui has been through a lot together with Sheung and is starting to fall in love with him. Sheung, on the other hand, has no feelings for Mui and decides to turn to Man for tips as to how to break away from her. Mysteriously, Sheung starts being pursued by a hitman soon afterwards.

My Review :
2 couple of the exact opposite. An 18 year old high school falling for an innocent 30 year old civil servant and a 22 year old guy falling for a 29 year old girl. Pretty fun to watch but don't expect too many dramas as this is only a short story.
