One of the charms of Europe - their buildings. I remember the buildings in my uni town - nothing more than 1 storey.

They evacuated the concentration camps, dismantled the cermatoria, sealed off the holes in the gas chamers and made the prisoners march west towards camps in Germany. Sometimes entire camps were slaughtered before the soldiers fled the advancing Red Army, especially after the surrender.

As for the leaders, the movie 'Untergang', from which you get all the parody clips, is based on an account by Hitler's secretary.

It happens when you look at the mountans of spectacles, trunks, hair, the mugshots...and the scratches in the cells and the gas chamber.

hey... how much did you buy your running thingy? does it tell the distance as well as the time you ran?

Nike + iPod pedometer? $55 at epiCenter.

You need to buy a third-party pedometer holder (another $16~) to fix it to your shoe if you're not wearing Nike + shoes.

It tells you time, distance, pace (in real time), and total calories burnt (at the end of the run).

Oh, and either Lance Armstrong or Paula Radcliffe will congratulate you after you reach a new milestone (fastest mile, longest distance so far, etc).

Note that it only works with iPod nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone 3GS.

Oh, Bear, I didn't reply to your question the other evening... the booze was worth 10zl, which works out to $4.60. It's a small bottle, and I just found out that it's classified as rectified spirit.
