actually, u should have 1 off day per week .. how come it seemed longer than that?
and, if its an off day, u should not go for training or watsoever .. otherwise, not considered an off!

but I was chatting with a malaysian business associate the other day .... we were discussing malaysia ......
this chap, a chinese unker ... said something which got me thinking ...
he said ... that malaysia wasn't really farked over by the malays .... but the Indians ......
I asked him to explain himself .... he pointed out the recent hindraf riots to me ......
he says that the chinese and malays have a mutual vested interest in not rocking the boat, they've built up an understanding that as long as one can make money peacefully and the other can graft peacefully, all would be well in the world, nevermind little things like uni places and what not, the local unis are farked up anyways ...
but the indians don't, they have this thing for dramatics and arguments .... so you see, the opposition figures in malaysia and singapore, or the legal benches, or indeed, even in the UK (where he lived for 6 years), they always figure prominently ..... "gao kee" was the phrase he used ....
That's an interesting point of view...something fresh and it does make a little sense.
But I think....it need not be Indians, Malay, Chinese or what-not....it has to do more with human nature. As individuals, we may not feel anything against, let alone "bully" others....but in a group, where the individuals have less responsibility on their shoulders (from their point of view), stuff like that are more likely to occur...
And in a majority/minority grouping, you can expect to see more of these things, because many in the majority who disagree will simply go with the flow, because they are not affected, nor do they carry a bigger share of responsibilities in how they behave. And within the majority group, there'll be people who aim to benefit and enrich themselves. Taking into account the bigger group's clout, the balance will be in their favour with little obstacles...

there is no denying that certain groups of people have different psychological makeups, different psyches if you may ....
just look at the TV dramas from different countries for example .... south american soap operas are different from north american soaps are different from south asian bollywood soaps are different from japanese soaps are different from taiwanese, hongkie, thai, local, indonesian or pinoy soaps ....some are reserved, some have a lot of wailing and yelling, some have a lot of physical violence, some are like a fairy tale, some are escapist, some are gritty and real ..... all are reflections of that country's, society's or race's psyche ...
I'm not saying one society's psyche or character is better or worse than the other ... it just the way the world is ... but it does give you an insight to the way people behave and react .... and this is perhaps something we cannot ignore, even if it's not always platable in terms of political correctness ....
