There was also the speculation that Alonso would drive for Ferrari for the race which Renault has been banned from.

Sponsorship issues will make that very tricky. It's likely that the brand labels he carries are contracted to Renault and they can't move to Ferrari temporarily, especially if two rival companies were to appear on the same car.
I think we'll probably see Marc Gene, Ferrari's reserve driver, in the other Ferrari car for the rest of the season.
