No, my maternal side all malaysian... So basically i guess they tried all sort of funny stuff when they were young and back in those forest + kampong days...
Anyway i personally think it's too adorable to be eaten -___-
i guess it's a pangolin and not an armadillo
Ahh... my bad master... seems like it shld be a pangolin... but it's still rather cute to be eaten...
i think master's right... but pangolins are now protected...
Pangolins used to be common here back in the 50s and 60s in the kampongs and reserves. Not so visible nowadays even in the nature reserves.
you can blame the accursed PRC market for the illegal trade in pangolins for the pot

Blame PRCs for their exotic tastes. The rise of PRC in economic have put many species into the road of extinction.
An irony is their fervent protection of the WWF iconic giant pandas but hack the rest of the others into their cooking pots.
on a lighter note:
Here's something interesting....birds can do syncopation as well.

today's instalment is..
The Lake Titicaca Frog
looking like it's got too much skin, the Lake Titicaca Frog lives in the highest lake on the planet..
being an amphibian, frogs breath through their skin as well as their lungs.. in the highlands where the frogs live, oxygen levels are low due to the altitude and the frog increases its oxygen supply by growing a huge amount of skin, increasing its surface area..
so we have a floppy-looking frog which looks like it's too small for its skin
Galloping cow herds of the deep sea plains.
Sea cucumbers:
Edit: Notice they are all "galloping" in the same direction?
African Freshwater Jellyfish Limnocnida tanganyicae first described from Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world.

Barreleye Fish
As you can see, it's got a see-through head.. the eyes are the green things (which look like twin brains) and not the two things which look like eyes just above its mouth...
