Just to share.
that marine life census is amazing... good that they're attempting to find the unknown species...
here's a pretty common one but it's weird in its own way... and it's local too
Archer Fish
they basically spit water with amazing accuracy at its prey to knock it into the water where it's eaten...
up la...
Giraffe Weevil
cute isn't it?
only the male has this strange long neck..
from your worst nightmare..
Vampire Moth
native to Malaysia, the Urals and Southern Europe, this species of moth actually pierces the skin of mammals before drinking the blood..
here's another nightmarish-looking creature...
Deep Sea Hatchetfish
they just look creepy as hell

here's another deep sea horror..
known only through a single caught species with a fricken long scientific name and no "common name", it looks like a squid with teeth.. it's actually "folded lips" but they look like teeth
the rest of the thing looks like this:
Not quite PCK bird.
Blue footed boobies.
check this out..
it's the Hawaiian Happy Face Spider!
it's very very small, only about 5mm and found in Hawaii...
pretty cool as the mother spider cares for the young frequently catching prey for them..
Granrojo Jellyfish
and you thought the Nomura or Lion's Mane Jellyfish is hardcore..
this one, also known as The Big Red, grows up to about 3 metres across.. instead of a lot of stinging tentacles, it has 3 to 7 fleshy arms.. no one even knows how it eats..

Boxed turtles have a hinged shell that lets them retreat completely inside... so what the male does during mating is to knock the female's head and then take her.
And here's a real-life unicorn, which is really a deer with only one horn due to a genetic flaw. It was found in Tuscany.
