Home remedies for premature greying
- Amla is said to be the best remedy for greying hair. Rubbing amla paste frequently on the scalp can treat greying of hair as well as hair loss. Regular use of amla hair is also effective for treating grey hair.
- Regular massaging of coconut oil and lemon can help in treating grey hair and also prolonging premature greying of hair.
- Soak 10 to 12 rithas and a few shikakai pods in water for one night. Boil and strain it next day and use it like a shampoo. Soak a few amla over night in water and use the water like a conditioner. This will lend a sheen and suppleness to your hair apart from keeping away greying.
- The juice taken from the leaves of Amaranth vegetable and massaged into the scalp darkens the colour of the hair as well as avoids premature greying.
- A liberal intake of curry leaves is an effective treatment for preventing premature greying. Curry leaves ground and consumed in the form of chutney or powdered curry leaves consumed regularly with your food can help a lot. Curry leaves boiled in coconut oil and massaged on hair, restores the pigment to the hair apart from enriching it.
- Curry leaves and amla boiled in coconut oil helps hair growth as well as promotes pigmentation.
- Ayurvedic hair oil medicated with neela, bringaraja and vibhitaki massaged on the scalp can prevent premature greying.
- A good diet enriched with nutrients is very important to avoid premature greying of hair.

I've had gray hair since I was nine. My DIY solution - buy a hair colouring kit from the supermart / Pharmacy. Easy-peasy.

BTW, Scientists have recently identified what causes hair to gray. I came across the article two months ago. It's an inability of the melanocytes in the hair follicles to produce melanin, the pigmentation that prevents your hair from turning gray.
Yet another article produced in a scientific journal explains that it's the hair cells' inability to breakdown an enzyme and it's the accummulation of that enzyme that turns hair gray.
No amount of proteins or what-not other nutrients you eat and stuff yourself silly with is going to reverse that process. Some people experience premature graying because of hereditary factors.
Until you read in New Scientist or BBC Focus or Scientific America that the scientists have come up with some miracle tablet, everything else you hear is simply bovine excrement.

the sad thing is my hair is stubbornly resistant towards treatments stuffs.... those diy coloring kits doesn't work for me >.<
i go salon would takes 3-4 hours... ...

Used Henna......add a bag of black tea to create highlights.
