Is there a target that these freshmen have to meet? I hope not. Too many organisations impose them these days, even if it keeps the volunteers and students working hard for it, but it's not good if they have to look desperate in order to meet the ever-increasing amounts.

Yeah. a number of schoolkids doing their CIP were threatened by some VWO staff with bad reports to their teacher/principal if they didn't return with full cans.

That really sucks if one is "fortunate" enough to get $10 or $50 notes. And what can they write? "Did not collect enough money" cannot always be read as "slacking on the job".
i find it very disturbing that things like charity and community work is measured by "returns"
