If the principles behind being a vegetarian is because you can't bear to eat the meat of animals...then the existence of mock meat does not make sense.

Besides, I've read that some types of mock meat are pretty unhealthy.... even more than their real counterparts, even.

it is not "healthy" at all.. all gluten and chemicals to make it "taste" like the meat..

eating mock meat is like having sex with a rubber doll .... how matter how close it comes, it's never the same, and never as satisfying ....
oh, and I don't know what's wrong with patches these couple of days .... she refuses to eat the snacks I gave her unless I handfeed them to her, bit by bit, then she'll look at me and wag her tail for more ....

She is spoilt, just like our kitty. Leave her alone, and when she's hungry enough she'll go back to doing it herself.
