got dad on open office.... and he manages to screw things up..
give him an iMac, with MS Word like he keeps on talking about "last time Word.. last time Word.." and he manages to open his documents up with text edit which screws up all his formatting..
and not content with that, he saves it over his original document...
and i tell him what he did, show him that it is MS Word.. he manages to change all kinds of settings in MS Word in the iMac.. so much so that it had a split window, the toolbars were all missing, and i don't even know what else he wrecked..
how??
how does one begin to spoil things which are almost idiot-proof??

maybe your dad is trying to use it like windows.
my mother had trouble with mac initially, i had to keep telling her... its not windows, its not complicated, the instructions are in plain english.

he'd open everything his stupid friends send him and he managed to destroy the old PC when a virus managed to write something somewhere which basically disabled ALL anti-virus programs i tried to put in..
i told him that since his friends gave the bloody virus to him, he can continue to spread it to his friends...
then the viral load got so much it fried the HDD..
i'm not kidding...

just wear it daily and it'll be fine. the power reserve when fully wound is about 48hrs.in other news, I thought our miss singapore world was only guilty of bad english. but there's more. :P
