At McCrap HarbourFront now, eating hotcakes..... will be taking the ferry to St John's later.
I'll be meeting one of the prospective caterers on Sunday with my parents, just to see the packages they offer and to sample the food they serve.
Dang..... I get the feeling that things sure do move fast when it comes to weddings.

There's a restricted-access free ferry that I take from Pasir Panjang..... only authorized personnel are allowed to take it.
And no, I can't sneak anyone aboard that ferry, in case you're wondering.....

in other news, i may get slapped by the vendor because of the indecisiveness of the mad boss...
KNN, the bloody vendor tried like mad to get things moving but is delayed by the boss over a lot of nonsensical BS things.. political considerations and all that shit when there is actually none.. the people in the other organisation don't care because they are totally unaware of anything we do!! they just want us to give them the bloody posters and they'll put them up!!
now after a delay of about 5 weeks because the boss must go through all kinds of BS first, it's almost done
it was just a little 2 week job and it got delayed for 5 weeks because of a minor inconsequential word in an email which after 5 weeks of to-and-fro over it... i sensed that the other side got really irritated by the mad boss over it as she kept going on and on and on about nothing...
back to the chase.. now the vendor has finally gotten the design and everything done.. about to put up the colour proof after we say okay to the latest design when he cleans up the last bits of typo, the mad boss comes in and tells me "the poster looks too sombre".. can you tell the designer to change the colours to make it more cheerful?
WTF?? she bloody picked the colours!! she bloody insisted on using "sombre colours" to reflect the "importance of the message" and now she conveniently forgets and wants a "cheerful" mood??

i just wrote the email to the vendor.. he's the regular vendor
i think one of these days, he'll get pissed off enough to tell her to screw herself as it's not worth the money anymore...

I just did an extra MONTH's worth of work because of delays in making decisions which resulted in the vendor being unable to deliver the finished product on time. And I put myself on record saying that I'd fight them tooth and nail if they try to blame it on the vendor.

oh yeah.. something like that just happened too.. but not my business.. i just facilitated the contract...KNN specs said that the work should be done by 14 Oct.. and contract was approved and awards only yesterday.. how to complete? vendor builds a time machine?
