hey sounds like senior management
"we know you're over worked, but we're going to give you even more work. and no, we're not going to increase manpower. so deal with it."

does your senior management then get you guys to explain why there's so much leave left over untaken?

that they don't. they pretty much throw away leave too.
Well, I've just handed in that 100-page term paper.
I talked to a couple of other fellas before handing it in, asking them if they were able to do it....
Suffice to say, they were both in the 'f**k it' mode as well.... ![]()
I guess it's true..... once you stop caring, everything just seems so much better.... ![]()

The sad thing is, we're talking about academia here. ![]()
yeah.. since i stopped giving a shit, work's a lot easier ![]()
guess what?
some braindead &*$#er just "invited" us to a "family bonding day" on a saturday evening..
the $*&^er thinks that we should take time away from our own families to make things nice for their stupid event which involves a lot of people taking time away from their families on a saturday evening so that a VIP can have the impression that all is pretty and shit..

what kind of shit event is this. are people supposed to bring their families along? ![]()
and we generally boycott all "healthy lifestyle" activities on weekdays as we need all the time we can get to finish our work. and senior management complains about the poor attendance ![]()

no.. we're being "invited" to help them organise this shit..
or something like that..
if they really wanted "family friendly" things, they'll stop doing shit like this and then give the money used to organise such events to charity which help poorer and down on their luck families with daily necessities..

Sounds like how my CO extended my unit's ICT by half a day for 'Battalion Cohesion Day' to help build morale and show welfare to everyone.
If he really wanted to build morale and show welfare, he should have just given everyone early outpro. ![]()
i think they are convinced that collective suffering strengthens bonds... if we do not kill each other first...
oh.. see the "healthy lifestyle" shit things av's side has? we also kena.. once a month, a division kena organise..
the same people always turn up.. they are those clerical officers who are the PAs for someone, and the rest are those who are the taichi masters who seem to be very free and their sections don't seem to do any work at all..
My sis is planning to buy this to replace my ageing home PC....
Any comments on the specs?
I told my sis that if she were to give me $999, I could go down to Sim Lim and put together a zhnged-up PC with better capabilities than that.... but she seems somewhat sceptical of customized chiong PCs.... ![]()
DIYs are not "chiong" PCs...
frankly, with $1k, you can probably get an insanely powerful quad-core job instead of an atom processor since it's going to be a home PC and a desktop...

Hmm.... true, true..... ![]()
But it ain't me who needs to be convinced that you can custom-make a PC at lower cost and with better specs at Sim Lim.... my sis doesn't seem to be convinced even though that's what I did for my own PC..... ![]()
damn.. i didn't even know there was a storm a while ago
