Just had an early lunch.... was reading TNP while eating....
One piece of news made me shake my head..... some dumbass teacher had to resign after his students looked at his Facebook profile and found some pr0n video clips there that he himself had posted up.
The fella was found out after one of his female students was caught watching one of the clips... and get this.... he's a primary school teacher.
I don't know WTF he was thinking.... if you want to add your students to your Facebook, then at least be sure not to post these things...... even more so if your students are in primary school!

anyway, someone sourced a cheap vendor.. lowest quotation.. the contract for the previous vendor for something in the intranet had lapsed and they went with the lowest quote thinking they had no need to write a whole lot of paperwork..
well, nothing has worked so far.. while with the old vendor (who gave them the whole code and shit) everything worked smoothly...
the new vendor, after going through the code dared to say that the previous fellas did "everything wrong"
so the owners of the system let them have it.. what everything wrong?? it worked for 3 years and give it to you, everything stopped working!! and you say they did everything wrong?? get it up or we're going to recommend that you have breached your contract!
the vendors tried to drama their way out but were given an ultimatum.. get it working!
so the bloody fellas are sitting in the room now trying to figure things out... bet you they are damned dulan right now...
i guess that's what you get for taking the lowest quote and finding a bunch of Indian nationals who are barely conversant in English in charge of your project...

even if they are providing good service, we are bound to go out and get "the best deal" so we put out an open tender thingy..sometimes we do get a better deal, a much better deal.. like a bunch of signs we made..
the original company quoted us about $1,950 for each standing sign we wanted to replace smashed one (1 got hit by a car) and there were a few more requested..
we put out an open tender and a company made the exact duplicate for $750 each
however, for the computer system one, i think it was a mistake

yeah. I can stick to the same vendors only for work that will cost less than 3k. (no need to call for ITQ)

but i'll take the lowest quote only for generic fabrication.. otherwise the lowest quotation is usually asking for trouble
