oh yah, the cab driver is half erasian half indian, very good command of english, and best, he was wearing black tshirt with cool strips short and slippers while driving his cab... he even talk "hey, mate, where u want to go" when i got up the cab.. hahaa.

I recall reading that the term "midwest" was a throwback to when the land was being settled from east to west, and this part of the country was still pretty much considered frontier territory at the western extent of the settled lands from an easterner's perspective.
But don't quote me on that...
