talking about "Do Not Eat", we did that when i was in NS..
i was manning the medical store for the quarter and we had a fridge in there for the stuff which needed to be refridgerated..
so of course we'd put stuff like drinks in there.. and people helped themselves to it even when it wasn't theirs..
so we "poisoned" it by putting in stuff like laxatives and this horrific stuff called propantheline which was effing bitter...
we labelled the safe bottle as "safe for drinking" and the spiked stuff as "do not drink"
the people almost always went for the "do not drink" bottle... and we caused a lot of swearing ![]()

that's why I suggest putting the not safe for drinking sign. Most people will assume that anything that looks very edible in the fridge but is labelled unsafe should be very good to merit the "extra protection". + you have done more than due dilligience by warning the people ![]()
someone in the office is in trouble...
bloody drama queen...
supposedly "indian muslim"
bloody hell, hari raya also take the half day off, deepavali also take the half day off..
Can I witness the quadruple up reaction? ![]()

oh, and she has been found out? or someone ratted her out? ![]()

if she wasn't such a bloody drama queen, they'd let her get away with it...
bloody heck, she's been in that section for 1 year and half the time she's either on "study leave" or not around for some reason.. and most of her work is done by other people..
and when she does her work, most of the time it's totally messed up... until her boss not happy with her.. and she's so thick-skinned she still don't know or behave like she doesn't know...
worse, issued her office mobile phone, clocked up over $70 in phone bills.. bloody heck, she's in office, redirect fixed line phone to the mobile.. and she never uses the fixed line phone.. everything is through the goddamned mobile phone..
everyone else's issued mobiles never more than the subscription amount and they need their mobiles more than her because of the nature of their jobs..
and get this: free incoming..
oh well.. i sense a horrific appraisal report for her

so if it's totally mixed like equal parts chinese, indian, muslim and christian means extra 2 days off in total? Hmmz

yah.. that's why people are not happy about it..
if she pulled her weight, they'd let her get away with it.. but drama and not doing her work?
they going to go get her
In other news, I'm gonna friggin' hammer some undergrads next week....
I already made it clear to them.... hand in their assignments to their class rep, then the class rep consolidates and puts the assignments on my office table.....
But instead, the majority of them didn't just hand in late, but they went to my office singly and ended up disturbing the other postgrads....
If they had all given me MCs or something, I can still accept.... but written notes saying things like 'I'm sorry sir, I left my assignment in my dorm room' is just asking for a chokeslam......
ahahahaha..
now even the dy dir is on her case.. ![]()
i am chinese, look malay, and probably has indian heritage..i work for UK ofiice (european) and deals with companies in Asia and worldwide.
hmm. do i get all local holidays, europe bank holidays and probably asian ones too..?
muahahaa.a.a
oh hai LF.

next time make it clear that those who don't follow the rules just get a fat zero. And enforce it,unless they can give a good reason like their house burned to ashes

that's the thing. if you want people to put up with your eccentricities, you'd better be able to deliver the end product at least. ![]()
even in my org there are people who get away with all sorts of funny shit that way ![]()

i'm trying to eavesdrop on the dy dir on the phone with the drama queen but the bloody drilling from the retrofitting is drowning it out...
i get away with a lot of things too... but i've been over-delivering anyway.. people ask me why i don't try to push my luck even more ![]()
i'm getting away with not coming in on Monday ![]()

Remind me of a piece of note I found stuck on the office pantry fridge...
"Thou who eat my icecream will die a horrible death"
I found it extremely funny and took a pic, but i'm lazy to upload...
okay.. the dy dir is very angry now..
words like "i demand an explanation from you" and "the intent is dishonest" are being thrown about..
i've never seen the dy dir so angry before...
i once wrote some (by that, i meant i wrote on the ENTIRE box) stuff on a box of candy I kept in the fridge.
i could tell who really really wanted the candy. because they asked me wtf was up with the stuff on the box.
and no one touched it. because i wrote really threatening things on it.
i should have taken pictures T.T
maybe next time. since I do this regularly at work.
