they could be busy trying to remove things like games and shit from the OS, then locking it up so tight you can't do your work without frustration ![]()

no wor... My com is new... hardisk is clean... OS newly installed... I presume they are setting up the security access coz government sector tends to be more tight in security...
Luckily I have a lappy to work with though... still waiting for IT to come and continue the setup...

I still prefer to work with XP... The newer version of Excel on vista seems so messy...
interweb, as long as you have access...
the rest of the things make me want to puke..
i have a bloody camera and i can't upload my pics..
i have a bloody thumb drive and they don't let me use it..
i have a HDD and the thing doesn't allow me to access it...
the vendors send stuff to us and we cannot put a free viewer up to look at the bloody thing...
we're stuck at MSIE version 6.0 because we cannot upgrade it..
can't use firefox, opera or safari..
vendors send in visuals on MP4 or mov, we can't view it..
i get sent pictures from a 12MP camera, and the effing thing can't open it...
this is what you'll get...
oh yeah acid...i spotted the ice cream shop at city link - looks fab!

And how clever of IT to only bring the PC over on friday... They left out the phone and email acc on friday so I couldn't bombard them this morning... >.>

it's at the end of city link, loads of people line up for it..
been there for ages..

yeah it does... Makes me tempted to go in and buy one before I go home everyday... especially after a day of work...
they use a dirty trick which McCrap uses..
the smell of caramelising sugar... that stimulates the body into demanding sugar and carbohydrates..

well McD isnt tat tempting as this though... Desserts are usually more tempting if they are displayed properly... I guess the visual plays a big part and being singaporean, we always have this mindset of a long queue means something good or value for money ![]()
though I already had coffeebeans raspberry cheese on friday, I'll have another one today to pamper me for working on monday
i know it's a lame excuse...

but i've been so good...didn't buy yesterday!
i've walked past that place like a thousand times and yet was never conscious of it
that's where you're mistaken..
it's even more insidious than that..
the caramelising smell is in their 'bun' which makes the poor sap who eats their burger want to eat more.. and since they're in McShit's already, they'll go order some more simulated food to eat...
being unsatisfying, the poor sap will end up overeating..

guess I'm immune to it then... I dun usually take McD and BK unless I dont have a choice... I prefer Carl's JR over McD and Bk if we're not talking abt breakfast... I used to love BK's breakfast but the crossiant now is terrible... McD breakfast still taste like crap >.>
The McDonalds' Monopoly promotion or whatever is another dirty marketing trick....
I swear, people have been going to eat there more often just so that they have more chances to win..... you can see the McDonalds Monopoly threads in sgforums.....
Me? I just eat there when I'm really in a rush. And my office is like, in the block right next to a Mac outlet. ![]()
i'd rather starve than eat that simulated food

I used to be a mcd big breakfast fan but have switched to a much tastier, more filling, abeit slightly more expensive option. TCC's american breakfast. Generous portion of scrambled eggs, bacon, half a tomato, 2 sausages, chopped mushrooms, 2 small pieces of french loaf with butter and raspberry jam, and (good) coffee. ![]()
and no, I don't eat this everyday. just once in a while. and I'd skip lunch on the days I have this breakfast.
the Kuishin Bo sushi and sashimi is surprisingly good!
the beef sushi is wonderful...
the salmon sashimi is bloody excellent too...

Tat looks tempting... how much is TCC's breakfast? my breakfast from breadtalk quite expensive actually... 4 piece of bread = $6
Oh, btw, I hate McD's breakfast coffee... It really really taste sooooo extremely horrible >.>
Hmmm... I'm not a big eater but I get hungry very easily... I'll definately have to eat lunch even if I had McD's big breakfast in the morning...

after adding in service charge and gst, $9.30.
oh and if you order their premium blend coffees(usually $5 to $7) with breakfast, you only pay $1.60. the breakfast already includes their normal coffee, which is already light years ahead of mcd.
i still miss the Spanner Crabs they used to serve beside the snow crab legs...
