And you know what ... I think they may be half right. Our mandarin sucks, our english sucks too. We even lost our dialects .....
at least the average malaysian chinese still knows how to speak canto in addition to mandarin.
Not true, you can learn a language without imbibing the culture if you go for the functional aspects and basics.
Our mandarin and english sucks becuse we couldn't concentrate one 1 language. + I actually blame ns for mixing the langauges even more to come up with singlish. Otherwise the english speaking would have stuck with the english speaking and the chinese speaking stick with chinese speaking.

picked up more and started using more. as well as hokkien of course.
NS was also set up to ensure mixing about the races and lvls. and frankly it worked. sometimes to our detriment in certain aspects.
But hell I can't think of a better way to solve our defence problems other than possibly having a world destroying number of nukes so that other countries will protect us

Etihad and Kingfisher are also in F1... seems that only the Arab and start-up airlines are doing sponsorship deals in sports these days, no other national carriers are involved.
