This is printed on SBS's brochure on Boon Lay Int's shift
"The New Boon Lay Bus Interchange will open on Sunday, 27 Dec 2009"
"All services except for Services 179, 179A and 199 will operate from the new interchange."
"Services 179, 179A and 199 will continue to operate from the current interchange until further notice"
The very first time in Singapore's history that a new facility cannot takeover ops of the older facility

Not exactly, MOE still had some operations left in its old offices well after the monstrosity in Buona Vista opened.
Anyway, I won't be around to see what the interchange is going to be like in the first 6 months because I'll be away on exchange. ![]()

I see. Anyway the new Jurong Point/ Boon Lay interchange is way smaller than the current one
Anyway 199 would be amended to use a faster route to Jln Bahar en-route NIE & NTU. Now 179 can dispatch buses out freely to cater to NTU students and staff at the interchange, whole interchange for NTU bound bus svs ![]()
I think many Jurong residents might end up taking 179 & 199 in e morning, the current int is just beside the MRT station vs the new interchange ![]()
morning
oh well, SAAB to become history. It's now left w/ SAAB Aerospace and Scania tat's still survivng with the same brand name

And I'll never forgive GM for screwing it beyond recognition over the last 20 years. Can't say I didn't see it coming after Koenigsegg pulled out of a deal and the tooling equipment were sold to some Chinese company.

It didn't materialise because GM decided to keep it after all.
I'm off to church for Mass and then lunch with colleagues now.

it's inside Jurong Point 2 (JP2). In fact if anyone still remembers, JP2 was where the original Interchange stood when it opened in July 1990 together w/ the completion of SMRT network with the last MRT station - Boon Lay's opening.
The current interchange is the big big one just beside the MRT station.
So the MRT station would be sandwiched by the 2 operating interchange come 27 Dec
good morning..![]()
i dun believe it... i caught a cold ...if every day is this kind of weather..

Wanna ask if there's anything nice to eat over there

Did SQ ever had A-320 before it spin off it's SEA network by forming Tradewinds (today's SilkAir)?

hi hi..sorry was away for a while, packing my macdonald's toy collections hehehehe..i am a big kid at heart :)
chomp chomp has a lot of great food until...the disaster strikes, the renovation..
some old timers have sold their food stores to the new generations and now all they think is MONEY AND quick serving
no longer the good old days, if u say the soup not nice, they will be very concerned.. now is eat if u can, and go off, cos we need the table for more customers scenrio..
the one still can eat one is wanton mee and fried carrot cakes..
the rest, forget it..
ooh forgot to answer bus 315.. i usually take a stroll down lorong chuan...and cross the road, go to the 1st bus stop at the beginning of the 2nd lorong chuan road, and take 73, 315 or 136. whichever comes 1st :)
or simply be lazy, wave for cab :)
