i went into the bus freaks forum to kachao them about the SC idiots calling the TV Mobile an unsuccessful brainwashing attempt by the MIW...
but i saw something which is freaky as hell..
a few of them are celebrating the scrapping of TV mobile.. because they can now record the engine sound of the bus

Actually don't see anything so strange about recording it...I don't do that, but I certainly prefer the whine of the engine to that of the freaking motorbikes whose aim in life is to make me fall off the bed in fright in the dead of the night.
Why wouldn't some people like the sound of the bus engine when it boasts much more technological incorporations than the typical car, or even the souped-up ones? Even the gearbox is interesting.
Some units are also more interesting with different mechanical set-ups. Others have faults in them. And when I have nothing to do on the new buses that just arrived, I like to count the gears as the bus revs up. 6 gears for 60km/h....not easy to count. It gets even more challenging when the clutch engages and you mistake it as a gear change.
I like the sounds...and I'm darn glad the stupid TV is out of the way and I can enjoy the lullaby and sleep peacefully.
Yes....I like bus sounds.

Those motorbikes were revved by morons in the middle of the night, and if they were bus mechanics they don't do anything about brakes that have ear-piercing screeches or engines that sound like fish-and-chips fryers.
I don't understand how you can derive such pleasure from something that is tuned for a mundane purpose. Racing machines are equally purpose-built but they're made to go fast and thrill us. V10s screaming at 20,000rpm or fat exhaust notes on a Focus RS WRC for me please, TYVM.

IMO...ok, IMHO.I like how the new buses run around with their rpm capped at 1600rpm.

I did it in 1:22.18. Burns himself was 15 hundredths faster.

my sentiments exactly! but i do know of a guy (ok, we dated some time back) who can actually tell if the car is a porsche or lambo or ferrari by the engine sound! spoilt rich kid who got one of those cars for his b-day!ok, i'm seriously procrasinating - yet to pack my bags!
