Relaxed pigs taste better
If the pig is stressed up before dying, the meat quality drops a lot

huh?carbon dioxide to put the pigs to sleep before slaugthering? You do mean killing the pigs via suffocation right? That's how some labs kill rats too. Not too sure if the rats are more relaxed though.

Electric can cause pigs to be stressed when dying
That results in poor meat quality
The thing is that Singaporeans like pale pork colour but actually hor that means the pork is no good but they think otherwise
Coz too many ppl are used to the Bulan pork where usually the slaugther the pigs too young

The pigs usually not mature enough la
The best part is Bulan pork quality not as good but it cost more expensive than Oz pork, though Oz pork isn't that fantastic either -_-
But it's the lesser of the 2 evils.
There is Canadian Chilled Pork in the market but not every NTUC have it.
I love the ribs. Hehehe

Well once AVA banned this pork from Europe (forgot which country)
They used excessive amounts of carbon monoxide on the pork
Ppl use carbon monoxide to improve the colour of meat. You know even if the meat has gone bad, due to the carbon monoxide, the meat still looks nice and fresh and no smell wor

Hopefully it tastes bad too...

To be honest I can't remember
Danish bacon is very common in the supermarkets
It will taste bad when you eat meat that has gone bad. But seriously you don't want to taste bad meat do you :P
I can't remember but I don't think it's Denmark

The Canadian pork marbling is quite similar to the kurobuta but cheaper
But they are selecting the leaner pork for Singapore
Coz heartlanders don't want to buy fatty looking pork (I think they might change their mind if they know what goes in to make the pork look so lean) -_-"

ehhh... ur 3rd sentence... Taste bad when u eat meat that has gone bad?
1) does any meat that turned bad taste good? (Excluding Dry Aged Beef)
2) who eats bad meat in the first place?

KB was asking a question relating to carbon monoxide 'dressed' pork
Pork treated with carbon monoxide looks fresh and doesn't smell bad even after it has gone bad

On the contrary, it'd be scary if the bad meat tasted good. You wouldn't know what made you sick later on.
