  Now you've to use e CEPAS standard cards that you can use for transit and non transit purchases (i.e. paying for purchases at 7-11).

  Anyway there's ez-link and NETS flashpay card which are both CEPAS compliant

  OMTS is still used.

  Minimum cash fare is $1 for aircon buses

  Somehow, I think that going back this time round will feel more like a tourist than a Singaporean.    I think I might as well pretend to be a tourist so at least, when I ask silly questions, people won't laugh at me. 

  BTW, do Singaporeans wear hats when it's hot?

  yup, get the ezylink at the station - can't remember how much the deposit was. you can use the card for both the trains and buses.

  Y'know, the thought of heading back after all these years and hearing of so many changes makes me feel like a delicate field mice who'll drop dead at a single clap of thunder!    I think I'll end up calling av or elindra a lot when I'm trying to get about.
