Take glucosamine, refrain from jogging for the next few days.
Aim for several short runs over a few days instead of one single long run.
Two weeks ago I had back pains after running 21 clicks at one go.... that kept me down for a few days. Even for normal painless 21-click runs I would find myself unable to run for at least the next two days.
So over the CNY holidays I decided to run 3 clicks, 12 clicks, 12 clicks, and 6 clicks respectively over the four days..... in the end I clocked a greater mileage with a much lower risk of injury.

i couldn't even do 2.4km!!! i ended up running, walking, jogging, strolling through my usual 5km route
this uncle who played football with me said i should let my knee recuperate for a month or more, not a few days or weeks.
maybe i should just try 2.4 daily.

I think your knee has simply taken far too many knocks, then.... all that soccer and jogging can be pretty bad for your knees.....
The uncle may be right.... you might want to lay off all high-impact activities for a few weeks to let your knee recover.
Seriously, go into swimming.... it's an excellent recovery sport that will keep you fit without causing any more damage....
