actually, it depends on where you get your loan, if they cover you 80%, you'll have to cough up the remaining 20% + COV etc etc ....

let's see.. a 4 room flat we saw valued at $540k + $60k COV..
if rego to $40k, we have to cough up $108k + $40k
that's $148k cash???

Ok, in other news, I must have been living under a coconut shell....
I had no friggin' idea that Kofi Annan was giving tenureship at the LKY School of Public Policy some time back.... the news must have slipped under my radar....
Well, I've just been arrowed by my department to attend a lecture that he's giving this coming Friday.

Come on..... you don't want to read in the news about some punk kid who got tossed outta the auditorium during the Q&A, no?
But yeah..... the UN's main problem is really in itself.... it's plagued by things like an overbloated bureaucracy, corruption, nepotism, you name it.....
And some of their peacekeeping missions have done a great deal of harm.... for example, the number of prostitutes in Phnom Penh tripled during the UN mission there precisely because of the horniness of the peacekeepers....
