not too sure about ministers etc but for diplomats, no need, just walk thru. at least when travelling abroad. <which is also why he gets lots of requests to bring back stuff>but when my friend went back to US, he had to queue up and walk thru the scanners like every other citizen.
oh yeah, you'll love my diplomat friend and wish you had his job - he's based in bkk.

nope, doesn't work that way. think it states somewhere that the govt doesn't bail you out for social indiscretions etc.but hey the passport allows you to "smuggle" loads of stuff.
