i used the circle line over the weekend - quite fast
Not tried it yet. MPB just came back nia and he tried it liao yesterday
mom watching some taiwan drama.. the actress.. the shrill is unbearable!! ![]()
i dont have access to circle line ever since i moved to the west..![]()
anyway doubt it really affects me also, cause NEL going to town is already quite fast..
i guess it depends if you need to go anywhere using the circle line; no point hopping onto train just for a ride...unless you're a train nut
from marymount to promenade - 26mins niah.. swee..
the train freaks closed a topic where the masterdude posted a "train surfer" whom i said was probably some train freak trying to molest a train ![]()
I tried it on the first day to go to Suntec.
Ok, not too bad. Considerably shorter walk.
I've also noticed that the evening crush at City Hall is somewhat more bearable now. I guess the Circle Line has relieved some of the burden on City Hall.
That said, I still think that making it have only three carriages is an extremely stupid idea. Never mind about projected passenger use.... in cases like this, some redundancy in the present is always better than having overcapacity in the future.

I seriously doubt that the capital cost of building standard six-carriage stations is going to cost that much more. The cost of buying and operating standard six-carriage trains is also certainly less than double the cost of the three-carriage trains.
'Redundancy' is not always a dirty word. If it were, a lot of buildings would collapse and a lot of planes would fall out of the sky because of a lack of redundancy to account for unexpected events.
In this case, even if three-carriage trains were deemed to be sufficient in the near future, it would be much more worth it to just go full hog and get six carriages.
Please la even the current East West line trains is packed to the brim during OFF peak
I don't even think there are enough carriages for the older lines
And with the population increasing to crazy levels and the number of tourists coming in, they think 3 carriages is enough.... -_-"
I, *ahem ... went jogging .... again ! ... ![]()

I'm trying to get Gordon's Grill Brown Sauce receipe from HM (He promised to find it for me)
He used to work there and he used to prepare the sauce
Would be great if we can have it as a sauce for the BBQ but he told me it needs to be cooked for 18 hrs over slow fire
