haha
Sorry I was looking at the picture and thought you wanted a frame for those images to fit into an are of 2.5sqm.
By maths we round up the digits to 1.6m each for a nice number and square.
Sure looks like it does.

Didn't these same people who talked about cutting distance just increased 858's bus-stops by 20 bus-stops yesterday?![]()

Nuts. For JC, I would expect the going rate to be around $40 - $45 an hour.
My aunt was paying me $45/hr to teach my cousin who was taking her O Levels.... I actually told my aunt that the price was too high, but she insisted on paying me that rate, so oh well....

can teach him how to eat snake or fly kite~ ![]()
My asking price was $30 bucks an hour.....the lowest I was willing to accept.
The father heard that and said: I get back to you tonight, I need to discuss with my wife.

why would anyone in JC need tuition ? ....
I mean ... if you can't make it on your own by then .........

Still too low, really. That father cannot see a good deal right in front of him.
I actually quoted $30/hr to my aunt, and she felt that was too low. She was the one who offered $45/hr to me.
And I was teaching O Levels some more!

wow!
that's quite a bundle....
30 is low....but its really the lowest I'll ask for, because I haven't taught for JC before. Its H1 econs, so its watered-down.
I wonder why this fellow needs help for econs though....I smsed him my email/msn to better find out the problem, he ignored me.![]()
maybe the guy doesn't 'need' it. but the parents want him to....? idk...

Yeah I know.... I was, like, 'You sure? I'm quoting you the standard rate for O Level, ok!'
But she insisted, so, okay..... ![]()
Anyway, since 30-35/hr is the standard rate for O Levels, A Levels gotta cost more than that.

waseh....you must be the favourite nephew.....while relations typically fetch a lower price, yours seems to be the other way around.
i want to teach too.. say primary 1 - 3... me cheap cheap...say serangoon area?
i taught a primary 6 burly big size male student once... he is so violent that he loves to beat up pple in school.. he tried to be tough with me and eventually broke down and cried. his behaviour like this, because he hates his parents..who never bring him out and talk to him. he felt unwanted... poor boy..
i talked to his parents who was a good thing... their relationship got better.. :)
i left him after his primary 6 cos i cant teach sec 1...
i am so gald he turned out well afterall :)

maybe the parents wants the discipline that work gets done? then again, it's A-levels, if you can't think for your own good, i dunno what to say.
The rain just came and went like that.
Should I go for a jog still?
Ah....heck. I shld get down to studying first.....till then.

i had my 1st tution during A level
i took up Maths C (science class) without A Maths background..and i missed the 1st 3 months of JC studies... i struggled hell.. and managed to brave thru it 1st year and passed my Maths C ...:)

Still quite understandable, really..... JC is pretty much advanced secondary school, with all the regimentation of NS and none of the freedom of uni. I can totally understand the rationale behind tuition for JC.
I had zilch tuition, and I suffered heavily through JC before I finally scored.... the grades for the four A Level subject through my JC years could be summed up as:
June Yr 1: CDEO
Promos: BBCD
March Yr 2: BBCD
June Yr 2: ABCC
Prelims: AABB
A Levels: AAAA
Imagine if I had gotten CDEO for my A Levels... I'd be screwed, period....
wah.. straight A student!!
my a-level results were hilarious.. ACDC!!
![]()
Ah.... AC/DC....
My sis once told me about a friend of hers who totally flunked one subject while acing another.....
....FACE. ![]()
Anyway, my point is that I would have totally screwed up JC if it hadn't been for the fact that it is only the A Levels that mattered, and I scored when it mattered....
If it had been a modular-based system like poly, I'd be dead in the very first semester....
